    • The double-entry bookkeeping system.

    • Recording transactions in journals.
    • Posting transactions to ledgers.
    • Preparing trial balances
    • Adjusting entries and closing entries.
    • Preparation of financial statements.
  3. Introduction to Tally
    • Overview of Tally accounting software.
    • Navigation and basic functionalities of Tally.
    • Setting up a company in Tally.
    • Chart of accounts creation and customization in Tally.
    • Enabling GST, tax settings, and fiscal year configuration
  4. Recording Transactions in Tally
    • Entering sales, purchases, and journal vouchers.
    • Managing inventory and stock movements in Tally.
    • Bank reconciliation and cash management in Tally
    • Applying the double-entry system within Tally.
  5. Managing Inventory with Tally
    • Creating and managing stock items, categories, and groups in Tally.
    • Order processing (sales and purchase).
    • Handling purchase orders, sales orders, and stock transfers.
    • Stock valuation and inventory reports in Tally.
  6. Generating Reports in Tally
    • Creating and customizing financial reports in Tally: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement.

    • Utilizing Tally for tax compliance: GST invoicing, GST returns, and TDS management.
  7. Advanced Features of Tally
    • Payroll Management: Employee records, salary configuration, and payslip generation in Tally.
    • Budgeting and Cost Center Accounting: Managing cost centers and budgeting features in Tally.
    • Security and Data Management: Managing user access, securing data, and audit trails in Tally.
    • MIS and Analytical Reporting: Using Management Information System (MIS) reports for financial analysis and performance tracking.
  8. Taxation and Compliance
    • GST in Tally: GST setup, invoicing, and filing returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
    • TDS/TCS Transactions: Recording TDS/TCS and managing compliance in Tally.
    • Managing E-Invoicing, E-Way Bill features in Tally for online tax compliance

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the Centre for Innovative Skill-Based Courses under the Open Learning Development Center, School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
